SLARD

Sociedad Latino-Americana de Artoscopia Rodilla y Traumatologia Deportiva (SLARD), emerged in 1997 as an initiative of a group of leaders who decided to bring together the different societies and national chapters in a regional association in the south of the American continent. Over the years it was integrating the different Latin American areas (including Mexico and the Caribbean) and Ibero-America (Spain and Portugal). All members of SLARD have great affinities in their vocation for medicine, specialty, languages, cultural roots and above all in the desire to improve, develop and integrate as sister countries.

SLARD includes 26 countries and 78 regional Arthroscopy and Sports organizations, in a wide geographical area with exceptional human capital. This Society is a society that is related to the local representatives of the participating organizations, whether their presidents or persons appointed by them to fulfill this task.

SLARD as a Continental Society has as its main objective to represent all National and Regional Societies before International and World Companies. It is the natural link between them. SLARD represents the entire region before the world society ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine).

Like any young society, it has had to go through different stages of growth and organization. Every effort has been made to fulfill the objectives of medical education, having as beneficiaries its members and through them the patients.

Our society is standing but there is still a lot to do and for this, everyone's participation is needed without excluding anyone.
